Julie Diana Vedia

Julie Diana Vedia, age 53, gained her angel wings on September 3rd 2021. Julie Vedia was born on November 17th 1967 to her father Jerry Jones and her adoptive mother Dolores Baskin. She graduated from Bishop High School in 1986. After high school, she went to Bee County College to pursue her license to become a LVN. Julie was a nurse for over 30+ years and took pride in her work. Julie was known to be a homebody and loved spending her time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Julie and her husband Gerardo have been together for 30 years and completed 24 years of marriage this past June. Julie loved to listen to music and was known for her lovely blond hair. She was a beautiful person inside and out and we all will miss her dearly.

Julie is preceded in death by Jerry Jones (Father) and Dolores Baskin (mother).

Left to cherish Julie’s memories are Gerardo Vedia (husband), Isabel Cavazos (daughter), Reymundo Garza (son in law), Stephanie Cavazos (daughter), Zachary Saenz (son in law), Jerriane Vedia (daughter), Rocky Deleon (son-in-law) and Gerardo Vedia Jr. (Son). Grandchildren, Peyton Taylor Saenz, Aubree Lee Saenz, Cheyenne Dyanne Saenz, Juliana Elaine Deleon, Rayven Ynez Garza, Justine Elaine Deleon and Julie Lucille Saenz. Brothers and sisters, John Jones, Elizabeth Dixon, James Baskin, Jerilyn Turnbow, Tamara Baker and numerous Nieces nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, 2409 Baldwin Blvd . Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

The Family wishes to thank Dr. Franko, Nurse Pamela and hospice staff for taking care of our Mother.

Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Gerardo Vedia Jr., Reymundo Garza, Zachary Saenz, Rocky Deleon, Robert Vedia, Emmanuel Villalobos, Alejandro Martinez and Amadeo Martinez.
