Juan R. Velazco, age 84, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Juan was born on March 17, 1934 in Matehuala S.L.P., Mexico to Adolfo Velazco and Guadalupe Reyna Velazco. He retired after 38 years with the Coca-Cola Company. Juan took great pride in working on his own home; it was his passion. His work ethic was very important to him a trait which he passed on to his children.
He is survived by his wife, M. Estela C. Velazco; his children, Patricia B. Oyler (Michael) of Florida, Norma Ceballos-Herrera (Raul), John Velazco, Jr. of Arizona, Crystal Velazco (Sean Marciniak) of California; his grandchildren, William Bruton, Ashly Bruton, Jillian Garcia, Alexis Velazco, Johnny Velazco III, Sloane Marciniak; three great grandchildren, Sebastian, Nicholas, Nathan; three sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Corpus Christi Cathedral.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
