Juan F. Lemos Sr., age 69, passed away on February 24, 2021. He was born on November 25, 1951, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Antonio and Carolina Lemos. Juan was employed and retired from United States Post Office after 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and watching movies. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of adventure, devotion to family and giving nature. He also enjoyed giving nicknames to his family and friends. His son was known as Kojak, grandsons as Sammy Pooh Bear and Jakisaurous, sister as Pepe La Pew and his best friend was known as Charlie Brown.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Carolina Lemos, brother, Jesse Lemos and wife, Benita Lemos.
Juan is survived by his only son, Juan F. Lemos Jr. (Angela), two grandsons, Jacob and Samuel Lemos, of Houston, Texas, two sister, Maria Rangel and Carolina E., two brothers, Antonio (MaryJane) Lemos and Bernardo (Angie) Lemos, two stepchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021, with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Juan Lemos Jr, Jacob Lemos, Antonio Lemos, Bernardo Lemos, Antonio Lemos Jr, and Raul Luna. Honarary pallbearers are Samuel Lemos, Maria Rangel and Carolina Esparza.
Juan Lemos was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 61. He fought a courageous battle with this dreadful disease and lost it at age 69. We know he will be dearly missed and NEVER forgotten.
