Obituary

Jose Luis Molina, age 68, passed away on July 5, 2020. Jose was born in San Benito, Texas on July 31, 1951 to Felipe Molina and Maria Celia Molina. He graduated from Roy Miller high school; afterwards he served in the army.  Jose was employed by City of Corpus Christi and Horton Automatics. Jose enjoyed participating in sports, playing baseball, with 60 and older and coaching basketball and baseball teams. He also loved fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, barbecuing and make homemade salsa. He enjoyed teaching his grandkids how to cook, especially tortillas and he also taught them how to wash dishes, and sew.  “Jojo in the house of pain” will always be remembered for his sense of humor.  He always had a joke to make you laugh. He was devoted to his wife, grandchildren and family. Jose was a loving husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandpa, and cousin.

Jose is it preceded in death by his father Felipe Molina, mother Marie Celia Molina, brother Felipe Molina Jr, sister Rosa Molina and, daughter Jacqueline Natividad.

Jose is survived by wife Salia of 30 years, Joe Anthony Molina, Valerie Molina, Michelle Roberts (Ed), Sabrina Martinez (Shane), Thomas J Martinez (Linda),  Marie Martinez, siblings Gracie Molina, Bengi Garcia, Mike Molina, Ruben Molina,  Blanca Richard, Carlos Molina, Sam Molina, Juan Molina, Anna Benivamonde,  28 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7 PM that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 1pm.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Jacob Martinez, Antonio Martinez, Anthony Keyes, Derek Martinez, David Baltazar III, Ed Roberts, Jose Rodriguez.

Due to COVID limitations, the Rosary will be limited to 75 people. A live stream of the Rosary will be available for friends and family to view from their home. Masks are required.
