Jose Maria Johnson Jr.

Jose M. Johnson, Jr., age 59 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 9, 2018.
He was born August 31, 1959 in Premont, Texas to Jose M. Johnson Sr. and Juanita Morante Johnson. Joe was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, road trips, and had many other hobbies. He was the life of any party and his presence would light up a room. Joe enjoyed dancing and listening to Tejano and country music. He was in essence the picture of a country boy. Joe worked at Cajun Industries and was known to be a dedicated hard worker. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by the mother of children, Melinda T. Johnson; father, Jose Maria Johnson Sr.; grandparents, Jose Morante, Simona M. Morante, Emerncio and Jesus’s Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Johnson; mother, Juanita Morante; two daughters, Jenny Palacios (Jeff), Jackie (Chris) Miller; three step-children, April Castillo (Anthony), Andy Benavidez, Abraham Ramirez; Grandchildren, Jazlynn Garza, James Garza, Jenna Garza; three step-grandchildren, Ariel Castillo, Anthony Jr. Castillo, Andy Benavidez Jr.; two sisters, Yolanda Gutierrez (Bobby), Raquel J. Scales (David); brother, Ramiro Johnson (Terrie); numerous aunts, uncles, including Becky Hogg (Karl), Mimi Garza (Mike), who were so dear to his heart and many co-workers from Cajun, PMI, who shared many jokes and laughter that became dear friends to him.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary and a Funeral Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
