Jose J. Rodriguez

Jose De Jesus Rodriguez, age 74, passed away on November 26, 2022. He was born on February 29, 1948 to Jose Inez Rodriguez and Josefa Gonzalez. Jose graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1968 and enlisted in the United States Army for four years.

Jose De Jesus enjoyed Knights of Columbus Divine Mercy Group and Our Lady of Fatima Pro Life Rosary Group. He will always be remembered for his love of family, God and his country that he served with love, devotion and pride. Jose was a loving father, son, brother and uncle.
Jose De Jesus is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace Rodriguez, his parents Jose Ines Rodriguez and Josefa Gonzalez, his sisters Maria Teresa Martinez, Josefina Ruiz, Juany Reyna and Maria Elena Rodriguez.

Jose De Jesus is survived by his children, Patrick Garcia and Melissa Rodriguez, grandchildren, Patrick Jr., Anahi, Nayeli and Jakob. Jose is also survived by his siblings, Vicente Rodriguez, Maria R. Gaytan, Carmen R. Rodriguez (second mother), Maria De La Luz Gonzalez, aunt Maria Asencion Flores and all his loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
