Jose Tomas Gonzalez

Jose Tomas Gonzalez, 58, was mostly known as Tomas, passed away July 20, 2018.

Tomas was born in Laredo, Texas June 4, 1960 to loving parents Higinio and Olga Gonzalez. He graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas in May 1980. Tomas worked at CiCi’s Pizza for many years. Tomas will always be remembered as the most kindest and loving person. He loved to take walks around his neighborhood and greet everyone. He always lit up a room with his smile and laughter where ever he went. His love for the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies never went unnoticed. He attended church every Sunday and was an active and faithful member. Tomas was a loving grandfather, father, son, brother, uncle, friend. Tomas is preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents, father Higinio Gonzalez, twin brother Jose Praxedis Gonzalez, and nephew Carlos Rubio Jr.

Tomas is survived by his four daughters; Joy ( Alex) Bernal, Abby Marie (Bryan) Saucedo, Sabrina Gonzalez, Maria Gabriella Gonzalez; seven brothers and sisters, Higinio (Arabella) Gonzalez, Daniel (Elizabeth) Gonzalez, Diana (Carlos) Rubio, Sara lrma (Alfred) Montez, Ramiro (Christina) Gonzalez, Roberto (Terri) Gonzalez, Celinda Gonzalez; Six Grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. John Paul II, 3036 Saratoga Blvd.

Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
