Obituary
Jorge “G.P.” Perez, age 79, passed away on April 4, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Jorge was born on April 22, 1938 to Marcelo and Luz Perez. Jorge was employed by Urban Engineering for 37 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing dice with his lifelong friends at their hangout “Under the tree.” He will always be remembered for his quiet nature, devotion to his family and his incredible work ethic. He especially enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren and had a never ending love for all of them. Jorge was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Belinda De La Paz, stepson Raymond Sanchez and his parents Marcelo and Luz Perez.
Jorge is survived by his wife, Cruz Sanchez Perez, his daughters, Lisa Garza (Mike), Georgia Rodriguez (Richard), Irene Ortiz (Albert), Priscilla Perez, his son, Ben Sanchez, brothers, Aurelio Perez (Suzann), Ricardo Perez (Maria), Robert Perez (Mamie), Marcelo Perez (Susie); sisters, Beatrice Gomez (Tony), Ernestina Ellis (Arthur); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His Family would like to Thank the many friends, extended family and staff at Christus Spohn Cancer Center, Bay Area Cancer Center, Nurses on Wheels for always supporting Jorge and greeting him with such kindness.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park
