Johnnie G. Garza

Johnnie G. Garza “Johnnie Guitar”, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018. He was 82.
He was born on August 7, 1935 to Santiago and Emilia Garza. He was an Army Veteran. Johnnie enjoyed his family, friends and playing the guitar. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love for his team “Dallas Cowboys”. Johnnie was a loving father and grandfather. Johnnie is preceded in death by parents, Santiago and Emilia Garza, sister, Marcela Batey and his wife Margarita Garza.
Johnnie is survived by his 5 children, John A. Garza, Erasmo Garza, Ivonne Gutierrez (Alex), Ruben Garza, Rachel Lewis (Maurice); grandchildren Bridgette, Maleree, Alexander, Vince, Kiara, David, Devyn and Mia; great grandchildren Adally, Jacob and Elise.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 with a Funeral Service to be held at 12 Noon at Calvary Lighthouse Church in Portland, Texas.
Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be as follows: Vince Gutierrez, Justin Garza, David Garza, Devyn Garza, Alexander Lewis and Maurice Lewis.
