John Daniel (Dan) Rossi, III, age 49, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017. He was born on December 4, 1967 to John and Ellen Rossi in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Beeville and Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1986 and attended Del Mar College in the fall of 1986. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1987-1989. He was ranked as a PFC, E3, while enlisted he received the Army Service ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon Expert Badge (M16 Rifle) and the Army Lapel Button. After being discharged from the Army, he continued schooling at Del Mar College and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He married his wife of almost 12 years on August 20, 2005. John Daniel (Dan) Rossi, III was employed by CMC (Commercial Metals). He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. Dan enjoyed participation in reading and music. He will always be remembered for his quiet nature, devotion to family, sense of humor and his compassion for people and animals. Dan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Rose Rossi, maternal grandparents, Dennis and Thelma Rowe, in- laws, Cruz and Irma Torres, a brother-in-law, Randy Mack. Dan is survived by his parents, John Daniel, Jr. and Ellen Rossi, his wife, Leticia Rossi, sons, Vincent John and Daniel Cruz Rossi, siblings, Stephen Rossi (Michael Krumm), Philip Rossi, and Ronald Rossi as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, his pets, Monty and Eddie Rossi. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 3115 Ocean Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas. A Reception will follow at Elmore Hall on the premises of First Baptist Church.[1]
