Jose “Joe” Martin Medina III, age 57, passed away on November 14, 2020. Joe was born on September 25, 1963 to Jose Martin Medina Jr., and Maria Diana Medina. He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1982. Joe was employed by Suntide Federal Credit Union. He was a loan collections supervisor for over 25 years. Joe loved to wheel and deal (lol), bar-b-que, bake and he especially loved his bar (Joe’s Bar). He will always be remembered for having a very loving heart for all, especially for his boys, Joey and Joseph. Joe loved to supervise; he had a blunt sense of humor and a great humble heart. Joe was a loving father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Diana Medina, grandmother, Paula Medina and grandparents, Rafael Salinas and Anita Salinas. Joe is survived by Maria (Chayo) Medina, children; Joey Medina (Adrianna Venegas), Joseph Medina (Kiana Dabay), father, Jose Martin Medina Jr., Grandfather, Jose Martin Medina Sr., siblings; Norma Swaenepoel (Randy), Arnold Medina (Susanna) and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Rudy Rivas, Freddie Gonzalez, Fred DeLeon, Jesse Trejo, Joe Riojas and Joe L. Medina. Honorary pallbearers are his sons, Joey Medina and Joseph Medina. We are so thankful for CareStat® Hospice Service, Adrianna, Anna, Pat, Rachel, Victoria and Pastor Raul, also, his home provider, Rosalinda “Linda” and Pastor Joe Robert Moreno, Jr. Due to COVID limitations, the services will be limited to 75 people. Masks are required. A live stream of the service will be available for friends and family to view from their home.
