Obituary
Jesus G. Hernandez, age 81, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 in Orange Grove, Texas.
Jesus was born on December 25, 1937 in Brownsville, Texas to Martin and Teresa Hernandez. He retired from Archdiocese of Corpus Christi after 15 years of service. He loved fishing, gardening, dancing, b-b-quing, but most of all spending quality time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sons, Martin Hernandez and Jose Luis Hernandez.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Maria G. Hernandez of 62 years; his children, Laura (Mario) Garcia, Gracie Gonzalez, Sonia Hernandez, Jesus Hernandez Jr., Juana Maria Hernandez, Crestina Hernandez and Javier Hernandez.
He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, his smile and devotion to his family and friends. Jesus was a caring and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Very blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Interment to follow at Casa Blanca Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.
