Obituary

     It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of James A. Price Jr., a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend, age 70, on June 20, 2019. Jim was born on August 8, 1948 to James Sr. and June in Marietta Georgia, he was the 1st born son of 6 children. His parents moved to Orange County California when he was 6 years old. Jim was a Vietnam Veteran. He enlisted in the Navy from 1967 to 1970. He was a mechanic working on airplanes overseas. After getting out of the service Jim went to work in the construction industry. He worked with his Dad off and on throughout the years. In his 20+ years of construction Jim worked his way to the top. He built everything from Movie Theaters, Libraries, City Parks, Shopping Centers, Parking Structures and Nuclear Weapon Sites. He had to work with City Planners, Architects, Building Officials, City Councils, and Attorneys to complete and move projects through the legal process. Jim worked his way up to becoming Senior Project Executive in charge of Multi-Million Dollar builds with up to 120 employees and sub-contractors. He successfully completed the second largest mat cement pour in the state of California to date, for the LA County Museum of Art underground parking structure. He also delivered this project in in seven months despite the discovery of dinosaur bones and stoppage for archaeological delays. 
 
   Jim received an Associate of Arts Degree from Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga California. He also had a California Contractors License and California Real Estate License. He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the city of El Segundo for Library Renovation and a Certificate of Appreciation from the city of Lakewood for Park Improvements. 
 
   Jim had a lot of activities he enjoyed doing in his spare time. He rode sand-rails in Glamis, he would go shooting in the desert. He fished and camped all over southern California and the Sierras.He was a true Renaissance Man.
   
 Jim is preceded in death by his parents James and June, his infant daughter, Amy. Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 37 years, Diane. His children, Michelle (John), Sandy (Jefferson), James (Mariah) and his step-daughters, Jonni (Daniel), Karri, Dayann (Jim) & Tammy, his 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, his 1 brother and 4 sisters and numerous nieces & nephews.  Jim was a devoted to his family and friends and he was known for his kindness and his willingness to lend a helping hand. He was always there to listen for his kids whenever needed. He will be remembered for his integrity, honesty & big heart. Jim was loved by all family and friends, he had the biggest heart of us all. He will be dearly missed by Family, Friends, and Neighbors.
