Israel Herrera Jr

Israel Herrera, age 50, passed away on September 22, 2019. Israel was born on August 23, 1969 to Israel Herrera, Sr., and Elvira Vela Monsevais. He will always be remembered for the love he had for his girls, wife and granddaughter, sense of humor, love of sports, football and boxing. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers. Israel was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
Israel is preceded in death by his mom, Elvira Monsevais, his dad, Israel Herrera, Sr. and his brother, Rene Monsevais, Sr.
Israel is survived by his loving wife, of 28 years, Laura, married on May 18, 1991. They had four girls, Laura Nicole Herrera, 27 years old (Alec Marable), Hilliary Ann Herrera, 26 years old, Valerie Marie Herrera, 22 years old and Madelyn Herrera, 17 years old, one granddaughter, Noelle Elise Marable, 6 months old, three brothers, Sonny Monsevais (Laura), Carlos Monsevais, Luis Monsevais (Veronica), numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
