Hijinia Garcia, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 02, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Hijinia was born on January 11, 1930 in El Hongo Ranch, Texas. She was a press machine operator for National Linen Service where she retired after 27 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, making tamales, and enjoyed her plants, flowers and her gardening. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Pedro, Jose, Paulo Trevino, Sara Salinas, grandson, Matt Garcia, daughter-in-law, Idalia Garcia and son-in-law, Gilbert De La Garza.
She is survived by her children, Diane Rocha (John) of San Antonio, Texas, Mathew Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Irene G. Edwards (Vance) of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Adrian De La Garza, Aaron De La Garza, Amy Garcia, Roel Navarro, Annie Vasquez, Ashley Garcia, Vance B. Edwards, Nicolle Edwards; numerous great grandchildren; her siblings, Juana Garcia, Julia Palacios, Eusebio Trevino, Paulino Trevino; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
