Guadalupe R. Hernandez, age 97, passed away on May 14, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Guadalupe was born on November 15, 1919 in Penitas, Texas to Agapito and Maria Andrea Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his son Jose G. Hernandez.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Vasquez, his children, Jose Edelmiro Hernandez of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Antonio Hernandez of Harlingen, Texas, Maria Evangelina Gonzalez of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Blanca E. Moreno of Lake Jackson, Mario Alberto Hernandez of Sugar Land, Texas, Juan Ricardo Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Christ The King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
