Gloria B. Silva

Gloria Baltazar Silva, age 94, passed away on April 29, 2021. Gloria was born on February 7, 1927 to Rosendo and Concepcion Baltazar in Seguin, Texas. Gloria enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking for family and friends. She will always be remembered for her love of Christ, praising, singing songs to her Lord and Savior. Her love for her church, pastors and friends radiated His light. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Vicente, son Robert, son Gilbert, granddaughter Sandra, parents, brothers and sisters.

Gloria is survived by her sons: Vicente Silva (Esmeralda), Rey Silva (Clarissa), daughters: Mary Lou Villarreal, Sylvia Silva, Becky Perez (Abel), Rachel Garcia (Dr. Ruben), Connie Flores; as well as 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. Siblings: Roy (Vira) Baltazar and Rachel Putty.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am – 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Trinity Our Savior Lutheran Church, 808 Louisiana Avenue, Corpus Christi, Texas. A funeral service immediately following. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Abel Perez Sr., Abel Perez Jr., Dr. Ruben Garcia, David Silva, Gerald McAfee, Rudy Jimenez Jr., honorary pallbearer Jake Arredondo. In lieu of flowers at Gloria’s request, donations may be made to Trinity Our Savior Lutheran Church.
