Gilbert Herrera

Gilbert Herrera, 42, passed away on July 2, 2021. Gilbert was born on August 10, 1978, to Timoteo Herrera and Alejandra Bernal in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a devoted son, father, cousin, and friend. 

Gilbert enjoyed spending time with his family, drawing, and being active while wrestling. He had a special gift for bringing humor to any situation. 

Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, Timoteo Herrera, and sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Herrera. He is survived by his mother, Alejandra Bernal and sons, Gilbert Rey Herrera and Alexander Herrera. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. The recitation of the Rosary will be that same night at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church.  Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
