Gerald Aubrey Jones, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on January 22, 1947 in Tarrant County, Texas, to Clarence and Lorene Jones. He was raised in Haltom City, Texas, and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964. He proudly served his country for 20 years, including the Vietnam War, and retired from the service in 1984.
Gerald will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of motorcycles, and his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, he will be remembered for his generosity and love of family.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones, his sisters, Pauline Barnes and Rita Locke, his children, from a previous marriage, son, Allan Jones and his wife Rose Jones, daughter, January Cook, son, Gerald Aubrey Jones, Jr. and his wife Christina Quemuel, and his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers for the service are Gerald Aubrey Jones, Jr., Derek Cook, Ryan Cook, Eddie Puente, Robert Reyes, and Albert Reyes.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a service immediately following at 1:00 p.m., then military honors at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gerald’s life at the VFW Post #3837 immediately following military honors at the cemetery.
