Gayla Linda Limon, age 69, passed away on April 23, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Gayla was born on February 23, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Rodolfo and Herlinda Limon. She retired from Southwestern Bell/AT & T after 40 + years. She was very involved with St. Francis De Assisi in Sandia, as a Lecturer, a member of Altar Society, and a teacher at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Gayla retired to her lakehouse in Sandia, Texas, where she enjoyed gardening and loved riding her lawnmower. Gayla made wonderful friends at Carmel Hills. She enjoyed watching the boats and parties across the lake. Gayla was always excited to see deer in the front lawn. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Celina L. Olivares; her twin brother, Rudy C. Limon (Betty); nephews, M. Dominic Olivares, Sean D. Olivares; nieces, Rochelle A. Limon, Desiree E. Limon, Beatrice D. Olivares; numerous great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
