Gabino Padron Chaparro 54, went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on November 16th, 2020. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother and Friend to many.
Gabino had a great love for soccer. Growing up, he enjoyed watching his favorite team, Club América, play. In the early 80’s, he played in a community soccer league, in which he later coached his own soccer team.
In 1998, Gabino opened Carniceria Hidalgo, a well known meat market that still serves the Arboleda community and many local restaurants in Corpus Christi, Texas, for the past 22 years. He was a very caring and giving business man. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends at the Padron Ranch, cooking, listening to music, and found pleasure in everyone’s company.
Gabino was born on February 19, 1966 in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico to Casimira Juana Chaparro Leyva and Alberto Padron Aguilar. He goes home to the Lord, to reunite with his Mother, Maternal Grandparents Rosalea Leyva , J. Soledad Chaparro and Paternal Grandparents Maria Aguilar, Eulogio Padron Garnica.
He is survived by his wife, Christina M. Padron, father, Alberto Padron Aguilar, sons, Alberto G. (Jennifer) Padron and Gilbert Hernandez, daughters, Angela (John) Silva, Samantha Hernandez, Esmerelda Rodriguez, Monica (Lee) Sandino, siblings; Sister, Guadalupe (Justino) Padron Chaparro, Brother Miguel (Margarita) Padron Chaparro,,Sister Aurelia (Pablo) Padron Chaparro,,Brother Jose luis (Cecilia) Padron Chaparro,,Sister Rosario (Ernesto) Padron Chaparro, Sister Maria de Jesus (Hugo) Padron Chaparro,,Sister Olga (Ruben) Padron Chaparro,,Brother Patricio (Irma) Padron Chaparro,,Sister Heriberta (Joe) Padron Chaparro, Brother Eulogio (Susana) Padron Chaparro, Sister Irma (Basilio) Padron Chaparro, Sister Adriana (Miguel) Padron Chaparro, Brother Jorge (Andrea) Padron Chaparro, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Due to COVID limitations, the Rosary will be limited to 75 people. A live stream of the Rosary will be available for friends and family to view from their home. Masks are required.
