Florentina M. Pelaez

Florentina Matamoros Pelaez, age 92, passed away on June 3, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1930 to Tomas Matamoros and Carlota Coronel. She was born in Rancho Santa Cruz, Municipio de Matehuala San Luis Potosi. She will always be remembered for her devotion to family. Florentina was a loving mother, sister, aunt and cousin.
Florentina is preceded in death by her son, Carlos Enrique Pelaez and husband, Robert Pelaez Martinez.
Florentina is survived by her children, Estella Martinez, Graciela Ozuna, Roberto Pelaez, Raquel Pelaez, Janie Castillo, Jose Luis Pelaez, Ruben Pelaez and Rene Pelaez, grandchildren, Augustine Vallejo, Gabby Valdes, Eddie Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez, Monica Marie Alaniz, Cristina Ozuna-Jimenez, Arianna Cantu, Roberto Pelaez Jr, Juan Pelaez, Andy Buentello, David Castillo, Mark Anthony Pelaez, Erika Garza, Alejandra Garnica, Gabriella Pelaez, Marisol Ramirez, Denisse Pelaez, Vanessa Pelaez, Karla Elizabeth Pelaez-Perez, and Carlos Abraham Pelaez-Perez, numerous great-grandchildren, siblings, Bonifacia Guerra, Nazaria Rodriguez, Rita Matamoros de Herrera and Maria Rodriguez (Joe Rodriguez) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve at pallbearers are Jose Luis Pelaez, Ruben Pelaez, Rene Pelaez, Juan Pelaez, Augustine Vallejo, Robert Pelaez Jr., Mark Anthony Pelaez, David Castillo and Eddy Rodriguez.
