Fernando Garcia

Fernando Garcia, Jr., age 62, passed away on January 4, 2022.  He was born on November 21, 1959 to Antonia Longoria and Fernando Garcia.  Fernando was a truck driver for many years.  Fernando was a loving father, son, brother, and cousin.  He was a Cowboys fan who loved watching them play on Sunday.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Fernando will be remembered for his love of family, and sense of humor.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonia Longoria and Nicolas Longoria and maternal grandparents, Cecilia and Alfonso Mondragon.
 
Fernando is survived by his daughters, Bonnie (Mark) Perez, Brandi (Alex) Villanueva, grandchildren, Joshua & Nathan Perez; Danika, Eli, and Xavier Villanueva; sister, Lupe (Ben) Cano; nieces and nephews, Lauren Cano, Tristin and Layla Henry.  
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
 
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Julian Mondragon, John Mondragon, Joe Luis Mondragon II, Michael Mondragon, Jason Pena, Tony Pena.
 
A special thank you to Fernando's nurse, Diana Figueroa, for taking the best possible care of our dad.   Also, to Ben and Lupe Cano, who put their lives on hold to love and care for our Dad.
