Evangelina Rios

Corpus Christi - Evangelina Cantu Rios, 80, was called to be with our Lord and Savior on February 25th, 2021. She was born on November 11th, 1940 in Mercedes, Texas to Guadalupe Cantu and Isabel Almanza. She was a Baptist, a Vocational Nurse and enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. Evangelina was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roy Cantu. She is survived by her children, Rodolfo (Denise) Rios, Jr., Michael Rios and Rosa Cantu; her partner, Daniel Smith; her sibling, Guadalupe “Wally” (Lou) Cantu; and her grandchildren, Carmela M. Rios, Michael R. Rios and Verissa M. Rios. She was loved and adored by many other relatives and friends.

A wake will be held at 5pm for Family and 7pm for Friends and Public on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Seaside Memorial Park & Funeral Home in the Reid Chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas. On Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10am a viewing will be held for family and friends, the service will begin at 11:30am and burial will follow at 1pm at Seaside Memorial Park & Funeral Home in the Reid Chapel Corpus Christi, Texas.
