Evangelina C. Buckley, age 73, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Evangelina was born on September 19, 1945 to Manuel Cantu and Aurora Acosta de Cantu in San Antonio, Texas. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing cumbias, word find puzzles and attended Corpus Christi Adult Day Care. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Eugene Buckley, brother, Jaime Cantu, parents, sister, Janie Apac and stepfather, Jose Apac.
She is survived by her son, Andres (Mary) Buckley; grandson, Andres Evin McGuire-Buckley; by her siblings, Rosario Lopez, Adriana Salinas, Arturo Apac, Maria Smith, Evangelina Adame, Teresa Ollis, Fernando Cantu, Daniel Cantu, Rosalinda Apac Salinas, Abdel Apac, Jose Hector Apac; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 3:00-5:00PM at Windsor Park Baptist Church located at 517 Sheridan Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas.
On behalf of our family, we wish to thank all the staff members, nurses, therapists, and chaplain at Del Cielo Hospice and Del Cielo Home Care who have been a great part of Evangelina’s life.
