On April 26, 1951, Eva Guerra Reyna was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to her loving parents, Jesus and Esther Guerra. On February 27, 2021, at 69 years of age, Eva went to her heavenly home.
Today, we celebrate Eva’s beautiful life! Eva’s life blessed, enriched, and inspired all those around her! There was not a day that passed when Eva did not find joy and peace no matter the circumstance. She was always grateful. It filled Eva’s heart with great delight to cook for her family and gather to enjoy one another’s company. Eva was an avid reader. She adored birdwatching and various types of wildlife! She was always learning and growing in wisdom. Our dearest Eva found great joy in music! She loved music like the oldies, country, gospel, country gospel, and all the holiday music her heart could hold! Eva absolutely loved to dance! How blessed we were to dance with her or hear her sing her favorite song! Our Eva will be greatly missed as she was always there and available for everyone, at any time! Eva was a giving person, selfless in every way. Even in the most recent days, she still dedicated herself to others, ensuring those around her were well cared for and loved boundlessly. Eva served tirelessly at Spohn Shoreline as a Medical Unit Clerk for several years in the late 70’s and during the early 80’s. Later, Eva was blessed to become a fulltime mother and loving caregiver to her own parents. Eva was an incredible wife, a devoted mother and a sister like no other.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, sister Elma Martinez, sister-in-law Adela Guerra, brother-in-law Margarito Martinez, and brother-in-law David Aranda.
