Eva Rodriguez Perez

Eva Perez, 73, passed away on March 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 4, 1948 to Santiago and Elidia Rodriguez. Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was absolutely selfless, always willing to help others in their time of need and put others before herself. She loved to cook and spend time making memories with her loved ones. She will always be remembered for her huge heart, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and her endless devotion to her family. Eva will be in our hearts forever and she will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Elidia Rodriguez; daughter, Irene Sanchez, sister, Elidia Garza, and brother, Ramiro Rodriguez.

Eva is survived by her husband, Alejandro Perez, Jr., children, Elizabeth Martinez, Cindy Carreon (Abel), Irene Rodriguez, Joseph Perez (Criselda), Yolanda Castorena (Robert), and Kristan Perez; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grand-children; brother, Santiago (Wendy) Rodriguez, sisters, Oralia (Frank) Lopez, Yolanda (Mark) Gee, Sylvia Mancillas, (Javier deceased) Lisa (Eric) Johnson, Sandra (Del) McCool, Petra (Freddie) Cardenas, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers are Joseph Perez II, Ryan Castorena, Robert Castorena Jr., Sergio Martinez, Julian Rios and Joshua Carreon.
