Esteban Trevino Medina

Esteban “Steve” Medina, age 91, joined God in Heaven on January 19, 2023 at home with his eternally devoted wife, Dominga, by his side. Esteban was born on September 2, 1931 to Tomas and Clara Medina.

Esteban worked in the agriculture industry at an early age where he met his wife of 73 years. He then had a successful tenure at Butterkrust Bakery as a baker. Ultimately, he secured his dream job with the city of Corpus Christi where he worked at the Parks and Recreation Department and retired after 40 years of service.

Esteban enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping, gardening, and beautifying his neighborhood with his constant clean up and recycling efforts. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and self-sacrificing devotion to his family. He was a very hard working, humble, Christian man who loved cracking jokes, doing impersonations, and drawing. He also enjoyed tinkering around with everything trying to turn trash into treasure.

Esteban is preceded in death by his only son, Esteban Medina Jr., youngest daughter, Esmeralda Parker, brothers, Jesus, Luis, and Reynaldo Medina, as well as both parents, Tomas and Clara Medina.

Esteban is survived by his wife, Dominga T. Medina, eldest daughter, Tomasa M. Hernandez, grandchildren, Lucinda M. Hernandez, Nelda J. Steelhammer, and Michael Parker, and great grandchildren, Rhianna S. Steelhammer and Simon A. Steelhammer as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held in his honor on a future date.
