Obituary

Ernestina Lozano Alvarez, age 72, passed away on January 4, 2021. Tina was born March 2, 1948 to Francisco L. and M. Ana Lozano. She graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1968. Tina retired from American Automobile Association after 32 years. She enjoyed painting with oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolors, and color pencils, dancing, listening to music, singing, hanging out at the ship channel, hanging out with her BFF, Ms Deason, lunch dates with friends, dressing up, shawls, traveling, people, socializing, history, reading The Life of Laura Ingles Wilder, reading books, crotcheting, spending time with Tim, Sophie and Shiloah, dining out with friends, trying new cuisine, making crafts for friends/family, western movies, roosters, sea shells, the beach, flower gardens and plants. She will always be remembered for her strength, sentimentality, independent, loving, affectionate, devotion to her family and friends, giving, kindness, selfless, tight Mama-bear hugs and kisses, her laugh, honesty, undeviating conversations, early morning/late night chats over coffee and pan de dulce, a fun person to be around, compassionate lady. She did things wholeheartedly and was candid. Tina was a loving mother, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and niece.

Tina is preceded in death by her father, Francisco L. Lozano, mother, M. Ana Lozano, brother, Arturo Lozano, brother, Salvador Perez Lozano, Sr., nephew, Edward Franco Singh, grandniece, Simran Singh, grandparents, Jesus and Guadalupe Perez, Salvador and Felicitas Lozano, grandnephew, Emmanuel Lozano.

Tina is survived by her sons: Armando (Cindy) Alvarez of Sugar Land, Tx., David Alvarez of Houston, Tx., Andres Luz (Marcela) Alvarez of Virginia; daughter: Francisca (Travis) Olson of Grassy Butte, ND; Grandchildren: Emma Alvarez, Isabella Alvarez, Timothy Alvarez, Sophia Alvarez, Shiloah Olson; Brothers and Sisters: Francisco Jesus (Ninfa) Lozano, Jose Eduardo (Janie) Lozano of Houston, Tx., Juanita Lozano Singh, Raul Lozano of Corpus Christi, Tx.; Nieces and Nephews: Francine Lozano of Ingleside, Tx., Jennifer Lozano of Portland, Tx., Allison Lozano of Corpus Christi, Tx., Salvador Lozano, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Tx., Joe (Brooke) Lozano of Indianapolis, IN., Leo (Melanie) Lozano of Utah, Kortinae Lozano of San Antonio, Tx., Eddie Lozano, Modesta Lozano of Houston, Tx., Jose Jesus Lozano of Houston, Tx., Marcus Lozano of Houston, Tx., Salvador Lozano of San Antonio, Tx., Frank James (Velma) Lozano of Calallen, Tx., Veronica (RH) Rodrigo, Franco Singh, Harbajan (Stephanie) Singh and Felicitas Singh.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 PM that same evening. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearer is Shiloah Olson.
