Enedina Torres

Enedina Torres, age 66, passed away September 3, 2019. She was born on April 22, 1933 to Jose Torres and Ramona Garcia in Los Fresnos, Texas. She was raised in Los Fresnos, Texas. She married her husband of 40 years in 1979. She was employed by Shirley Smith as a housekeeper. Enedina was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Enedina enjoyed participation in family barbeques, and spending time with family. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter and devotion to family.

Enedina is preceded in death by her husband, Torivio Valdez, her parents Jose Torres and Ramon Garcia; her brothers, Santiago, Baudelio, Juventino, Juan Torres; one sister, Rebecca Garcia; one daughter, Rosie Hernandez.

Enedina is survived by her sister, Francisca Ramirez; her children, Fermin Hernandez (Janie Hernandez), Jose Hernandez, Ester Hernandez, Guadalupe Garcia (Martin Garcia), Terrie Hernandez; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Seaside Reid Chapel on Thursday, September 5, 2019. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Rose Hill Memorial Park on 2731 Comanche, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Marty Garcia, Jason Garcia, James Jones, Gilbert Hernandez, Freddie Thomas, Jordan Hernandez, Jose Hernandez and Fermin Hernandez.
