Elvira Castillo Reyes

Elvira C. Reyes, age 76, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Elvira was born February 10, 1946 to Atanacio Castillo and Agapita Hernandez Castillo. She was a full-time housewife. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, quiet nature, devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family and enjoyed doing gardening. She was like a second mother to her younger siblings. She also enjoyed playing Spanish Loteria and watching her Novelas. Elvira had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Elvira is preceded in death by her parents: Atanacio and Agapita Castillo; her husband, Adan Reyes; brother, Rodrigo Castillo; nephews: Willie Castillo, Jr., Jesus Castillo and niece, Adelita Roldedo.

Elvira is survived by her children: Lupita Belmares and Jesse Reyes; her grandchildren: Lisset, Isaac and Madelaine Belmares; her siblings: Sabas Castillo, Sr., Guillermo Castillo, Sr., Juan D. Castillo, Fernando Castillo, Alberto Castillo, Oralia Robledo, Atanacio Castillo, Jr., Ayde Castillo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM, Monday, September 19, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are David Belmares, Isaac Belmares, Gilbert Castillo, Fernando Castillo, Jr., David Castillo, Mathew Sanchez, Gonzalo Robledo, Albert Castillo, Jr. and Raudel Castillo.
