Elidia Garza, age 80, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Elidia was born on June 4, 1938 in Taft, Texas to Cruz Santos and Maclovia Cantu. Elidia was great cook and was very active, playing soccer on the Seniors Womens League and enjoyed bowling and running. She was very active at her church, St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas and was a residence in Dallas for 52 years.
She is preceded in death by husband, Jose M. Garza; son, Anthony Steven Garza; parents, Cruz Santos, Maclovia Cantu; siblings, Benjamin Santos, Margarita Garcia, Ofelia Santos, Jose Santos and Amalia Solis.
Elidia is survived by children, Dr. Gilbert J. Garza (Sallie), Arthur V. Garza (Nora); grandchildren, Marisa C. Garza, Joe Anthony Garza, Jason A. Garza, Jacob C. Garza; numerous nieces and nephews and sisters and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Garza, Gilbert Garza, Joseph Rivas, Tony Vega, Gerry Garza, and Dezmin Lozano
