She was an amazing mother who provided and sacrificed for her family without questions or conditions. She enjoyed Jazz music and was an exceptional salsa and swing dancer and people would watch with amazement. She loved to crochet and sew and was famous for her baby blankets. She loved seafood, waffles, pork ribs, ice cream and Dr. Pepper. She had a fulfilling career as an LVN first in the ER room, then in Labor & Delivery and then in physicians offices which lasted for over 40 years. She loved being part of God's miracle as she assisted women in labor and delivery of newborn children, including her own grandchildren. She was very proud of her nursing career.
Elaine made a positive impact on anyone she came in the contact with and was always gracious and accepting. Our generous mother spent a lifetime enriched by the people she took in and added as part of the family. She will always be in our hearts and we know she is now resting in peace.
A Life Celebration will be held in her honor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to be held at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
