Edward Gonzales, age 54, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Edward was born on October 22, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a graduate of Moody High School and attended Del Mar College. His career in retail began with Wal-Mart transitioning to Sam’s Club, continued with Lowe’s and other retail ventures. Edward was a loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Star Trek and visiting Mexico City. Edward is preceded in death by his parents Seraphio & Josefina Gonzales and a brother Steve Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janie Gonzales; his children, Edward Anthony (Darlene) Gonzales, Kristine Nicole Gonzales, Celso Fausto-Eduardo Gonzales; grandson Seth Gonzales; brother Johnny Gonzales; sister Norma Palacios; nieces/nephews Johnny Gonzales Jr., Selena Garza, April Gonzales, Alex Gonzales, Angela Castellano, Andrea Palacios, Javier Palacios, Melissa Gonzales, Luis Gonzales, Bianca Gonzales and Jaime Hernandez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr., a Divine Mercy caplet will be prayed at 6:40 p.m. and a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
