Dryck Leigh Spivey was born in Pretoria, South Africa to Clinna and Major Duren L. Spivey on January 20th, 1951. He and his sister, Tiana, explored the South African culture until the family returned to the United States living in Buffalo, NY and then settling into Corpus Christi, TX where Dryck attended Texas Arts and Industries University in Kingsville, TX. Showing an extraordinary aptitude for mathematical problem solving, Dryck was employed by the City of Corpus Christi, TX as a Systems Administrator for Municipal Information Systems. He kept the computers for the City running smoothly. Upon retirement, Dryck enjoyed the white sand beaches, hill country hikes and playing with his own computers. He once expressed his fascination with electronics as “we think alike”. Following his wishes, there will be no formal service, cremation will follow and his ashes will join the family on their beloved land. I ask all to spend a moment in loving reflection of Dryck and raise a glass to honor his memory. He was a very gentle, kind, brilliant and private individual. Pictured: back: Major Duren L.
