Obituary
Dorsia Lee Limuel was born March 28, 1928 to Betsey and Cleveland Lee, Sr. in Smackover, Arkansas. The family moved back to Texas when Dorsia was a small child.
After graduating from Charlie Brown High School in West Columbia, Texas, Dorsia moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she met and was united in matrimony to I.V. Limuel, Jr. in September 1948. From that union was born 5 children. Dorsia went on to graduate from Del Mar Vocational Nursing School and worked dutifully as a nurse at Memorial Hospital for over 30 years before early retirement.
In addition to both parents, Dorsia is preceded to death by her husband, I.V. Limuel, Jr. (1989); daughter Velma Hunter (2005); son, Kenneth Limuel (2009); four brothers, Vernon Boxley, Cavallary DeLasalle Boxley, Cleveland Lee, Jr., and Alfred Lee; and one sister, Erma Lee.
Dorsia leaves to mourn her death daughters Glenda Hale (Percy) of Missouri City, TX and Ivy Thomas (Kenneth) of Tampa, FL; son, Stanphanie (Stan) Limuel (Shanta) of Clear Lake, TX, and sisters Dorothy Jean McKinney of Old Ocean, TX; Alberta (Rita) Lee of Angleton, TX Dorothy (Sister) Loftis of Dallas, TX and sister-in-law, Bertha Barnes of Corpus Christi, TX.
Dorsia is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren 2 adorable little great-great granddaughters, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Calvary 1st Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
