Dalila V. Cortez

Beloved daughter, sister and spouse, Dalila V. Cortez passed away on Tuesday May 22, 2018 at the age of 57 years old.
She was born on June 25, 1960 in Donna, Texas to Eriel Z. Vasquez and Connie Vasquez. She retired from Kleberg bank after 28 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering at Rose Shaw Elementary school as a Girl Scout volunteer for Troop 60693. She also did volunteer work at Fannin Elementary and at some local churches. She is preceded in death by her father Eriel Z. Vasquez.
Dalila was a loving spouse to Roy Cortez and wonderful daughter to Connie G. Vasquez and sister to Criselda V. Gonzalez (Joe), Mary Helen V. Sanchez (Jesus), Norma Jean V. Garza (Gabriel), Isreal G. Vasquez (Melinda). Her nieces and nephews are Joe R Gonzalez Jr. “Joey”, Richard L. Gonzalez, Cristy Gonzalez, Eriel Rene Vasquez, Miranda R. Vasquez, Evelyn Garza, great grandnephews Austin and Dylan Graham, Israel King Vasquez, Martin Lopez.
Dalila also had her wonderful pups who brought much laughter and joy to her life; Milo, Baby Girl, Stiches and Mia.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday May 28, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral with a Prayer Service to be recited at 7 pm that same night.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 29, 2018 Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
