D' Keisha D' Anne Smith

D’Keisha D’Anne Smith was born November 23, 1987 to Joely Smith and Kenneth Mazone in Corpus Christi Tx. She was 33 years young. 
 D’Keisha attended CCISD Public Schools and was a class of 2006 Roy Miller High School graduate. It was not an easy journey for her. She was always sick;having been diagnosed with sickle cell disease at birth. She required special care and special arrangements while in ccisd. However, with the love and care of Joely and Leroy she graduated high school on schedule. 
 D’Keisha had a passion for doing hair. It kinda runs in our family. She eventually enrolled in CC Barber College. She really loved it there and always recalled how much she learned there. 
 D’Keisha was one of the strongest people we have ever known. Even on her darkest days she was ‘fine’. She tried to be there for so many people. And so many people were there for her. She was our ‘lil mama’. 
D’Keisha was a kind and loving mother, close and caring sister to her brothers, loyal to her dad Leroy, grateful to her Aunt Kathy, a beautiful granddaughter. She was a friend indeed! 
 D’Keisha worked hard to make other people’s days brighter. Her biggest accomplishment was the ability to give life to 2 awesome children. We will strive to make sure they always remember...’Keda’. 
 D’Keisha loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a previous member of the Friendship Baptist church Cc Tx. And often attended Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Cc Tx.  She was a sweet and beautiful soul and we will miss her bright and cheerful smile forever. 
 She is survived by her dad Leroy Clayton. Two children to cherish her memories Quincy Anthony and Nichelle JoLee. Her brothers Darius and Drexel Smith. Uncles: Ricky (Steven) Brown Houston Tx. Gregory (Karen) Smith of Morgan Tx. David and Dwight Smith of Houston Tx. Marvin and Waylon Tatum of Cc Tx. Her Aunt (Kat) Kathryn Nickleson Cc Tx and Kendra (Foxie) Tatum of Houston Tx., Nephews and Nieces, Darius II, Bri’Anna, Jewelle, Angel, Draesin, D’Aiden, DeNae, Jaliyah, Dalen, Dalliyah, Ryan, D’Alaine, Denee, Kyrie, Joely and Ali Smith, Cousins: Winston, Ramon, Leslie, Jenny, Kasey, David Jr. , Michael, Takonia, Kennedy, Aniesha, Broderick, Sariah, Reagon, Taliyah, Alyssa, Ryker, Raiden and Saniya, Special Relationship Cousins, Sidney Dean and Latracier Shena, and her grandmother Deborah D’Anne Smith-Warren, other family members and Facebook friends.  
She is preceded in death by her mother Joely Nichelle Smith-Byron. Her uncle’s Michael and George Smith and Quincy Tatum. Her paternal grandfather Mr. Ricky Brown Sr.  Her paternal great grandparents Mr. and Mrs Floyd Brown. Maternal great grandparents Joseph and Geraldine Smith and cousin, Zachary Smith.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m., that same afternoon, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
