Consuelo P. Fuentes

Consuelo Fuentes, age 91, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born January 21, 1931 to Natividad Patino and Cristobal Ybanez. Consuelo was employed by Corpus Christi Bank and Trust. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing and dancing with her husband of 68 years. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, passion for travel and her devotion to her family. Consuelo was a loving mother and grandmother.
Consuelo is preceded in death by her two sons, Jose R. Fuentes III, Ray Anthony Fuentes and her loving husband, Jose Reyes Fuentes, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Sylvia Rodriguez (Everardo) of Corpus Christi, Tx. and Carmella Contreras (Arturo) of Sinton, Tx. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Everardo Rodriguez, Sr. (Ebony), Erica Rodriguez (who cared for her daily), Eric Rodriguez and Isaac Contreras. She was also blessed with six great grandchildren: Zoey Rodriguez, Bella Rodriguez, Maison Rodriguez, Alexa Rodriguez, Zachary Rodriguez and Noah Contreras.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, Monday, May 23, 2022 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Everardo Rodriguez, Everardo Rodriguez, Jr., Eric Rodriguez, Maison Rodriguez, Zachary Rodriguez and Isaac Contreras.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to her loving granddaughter, Erica Rodriguez for being her caregiver throughout her life, and also her friend.
