Obituary
Columbia A Castillo, Age 81, passed away on November 5, 2019. She was born on February 19, 1938, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Joe G. and Mary G Almaguer.
She had a zest that is going to be dearly missed. We could talk for hours and never miss a night. She would stay up late because she dearly loved her computer from paying bills, emails, to her Pogo Games and Crossword Puzzles, she was good at it all too. She collected books and DVD's and would enjoy binge watching her favorite shows she recorded or on Netflix. We cherished our frequent outings together with her, from eating at her favorite restaurant (Luby's) to having an Espresso at her Favorite bookstore (Half-Priced Books). She loved to spend her Saturdays out and about wandering the thrift stores. She adored her piano music and would play occasionally on one of her several pianos she’s collected over the years.
She will be so crushingly missed by all of us.
She loved us all, (all of her family) with all of her heart. And she would always be praying to God for all of us. She loved God very much and trusted him. Her faith was strong in him. May our Good Lord have the nicest place for her in his Kingdom alongside her beloved husband Uvaldino.
Columbia is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Uvaldino Jose Castillo, siblings; Manuel, Maria, Michael, Joe, Willie, Johnny, Albert, Delia and Connie.
Columbia is survived by her children; Uvaldino J. Castillo, Paul Castillo(Theresa) and Elizabeth Jo Lazo (Sergio Wilson Jr.), grandchildren; Joann Marie Castillo (Alfredo),Joey Castillo, Bradley Castillo, Alyshia Megrew (Kenneth),Sergio Wilson Lazo IV, Seth Kaine Lazo, Silas Quin Lazo and numerous great-grandchildren, two Sisters; Mary Virginia Fagan(John) and Alma Horne(Wilson).
Having the distinguished honor to be pallbearers is her sons and grandsons, Uvaldino, Paul, Joey, Bradley, Sergio, Seth and Silas.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
