6 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Celia's family - View on Tribute Wall
Celia (Sally) T. Martinez of Corpus Christi peacefully passed away on June 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old. Celia was the firstborn child to Hilario G. and Ofelia C. Trevino on November 1, 1952. She's preceded in death by her father Hilario (Larry) G. Trevino.
Sally was a hardworking, dedicated wife, mother and loving grandma, who enjoyed cooking and baking. She worked in banking most of her working career, more recently for Kleberg Bank. She always ensured the needs of her family were met, oftentimes before her own. We dearly loved her for that. Sally was an avid collector of fashion jewelry and she wore it well. She had beautiful green eyes and a smile that would light up any room. More importantly, she had a strong faith in the Bible's promises of a world free of sickness and death (Isa. 33:24; Rev. 21:3, 4). Sally was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness for nearly 50 years and spent a large part of her life sharing her faith with others.
She's survived by her caring husband of 46 years Guadalupe M. Martinez, two daughters Debra A. (Mark) Villegas of Corpus Christi, Iris M. (Eddie) Martinez-Morales of San Antonio. Six grandchildren Alexia (Lexi) Lynn, Aaron Edward and Anthony Ace Morales, Noah Anthony, Olivia Elaine and Ava Nicole Villegas. She's also survived by her mother Ofelia C. Trevino of Stafford, TX, sisters Delia T. (David) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Velia Hernandez of Houston and Bertha (Carlos) Saldua of Missouri City, TX in addition to nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members.
A special thank you to Dr. Santana Reddy and staff for all the care provided. Also with much gratitude, to her sister Delia and nurse Debbie for your dedication and loving care to the end.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Talk to be held at 7:00 p.m. the same evening.
