Cathryn Elaine Brooks

Cathryn Elaine Brooks, age 62, passed away October 5, 2020. She was born on December 23, 1957 to James E. Hart and Marguerite Carter in Corpus Christi, TX. She was raised in Corpus Christi all of her adolescent life. She received her GED later in life and became an LVN with ambitions to become a RN. Cathryn married her husband, Ondra Brooks, of 29 years on June 11, 1991.

Cathryn enjoyed being a part of life. She enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, seeing her grandkids and helping others in need. She especially loved rescuing animals. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love for people.
Cathryn is preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Carter, her father, James E. Hart, her grandmother, Iva Carter and her grandfather, Carrol Carter.

Left to cherish her memories are, her husband, Ondra Brooks; sons, Allan Shipley and Joshua Hawley (Kara); grandchildren, Gary Shipley, Gage Shipley, Kaleb Hawley, Josephine Hawley, Axton Hawley; brother, Wesley Hart (Kerri) and great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m.-12:50 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A funeral service be held at 1:00 p.m. that same day. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
