Carlos Valentine Vasquez Jr.

Carlos Valentine Vasquez, Jr., age 48, passed away on August 4, 2021. He was born to Carlos and Emma Vasquez, Sr. on August 31, 1972, in Houston, Texas. Carlos was the owner of CVV Construction Company for many years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Carlos was a honest, straight forward, funny and kind person. He was the life the party. Everyone who knew him knows he would go far and beyond to help others. His children, Amberly Ann and Carlos Nicholas Vasquez, were his world. He made sure to call his children every morning to check on them and to let them know that he loved them. He also made daily calls to his dad; those calls were very important to him.
Carlos is preceded in death by his loving aunt, Hilda Olvera Reyna, grandparents, Rosendo Olvera, Alicia Barrera Olvera, Willie Vasquez, Guadalupe Vasquez and his great-nephew, Wyatt Ryan.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his beloved parents, Emma Olvera Vasquez and Carlos Vasquez, Sr., his children, Carlos Nicholas Vasquez, Amberly Ann Vasquez, Carlos V. Vasquez III, and the mother of his children, Kimberly Figueroa, his sisters, Debra Ann Vasquez, (Nelda Perales), Alice Marie Vasquez (Alfred Lugo) Lupe and Mario Garza, his nephews, Gilbert Cuevas (Desiree), Eric Grimaldo Jr., Matthew Grimaldo, Arnold Riojas (Destinee), Jayden Brown, Ricky Nava (Alondra), Joshua Nava, Andrew Nava, his great-nieces and nephews, Addalynn, Kash, Eric, Niko, Sophiah, Layla, Cali, Makayla, Illanna, Saintly, uncles, Rosendo Olvera (Alicia), Ramiro Olvera (Lala), Gilbert Vasquez, Andres Vasquez, numerous cousins and foremost his very best friend, of over 20 years, Abel Pena (Michelle)
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve, as pallbearers are Arnold Riojas, III, Matthew Grimaldo, Joshua Nava, Andrew Nava, Ricky Nava and Carlos Vasquez. Honorary pallbearer are Abel Pena.
