Betty Ann Franklin, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2023. Betty was born on January 20, 1953 to Barbara and Franklin Hanson. She was a graduate of Roy Miller High School, and thereafter, spent 20 years in Oil Gas Measurement where she did chart integration until her retirement in 1991. Betty enjoyed baking, crafting, cooking, nature watching, but above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Betty will always be remembered for her kindness, big heart, love of nature, generous hospitality, and sense of humor. Betty was the one everyone went to for hugs, advice, and leftovers.
Betty is preceded in death by her dad, Franklin Hanson and her sister Judy Burgess.
Betty is survived by the love of her life, her Husband of 44 years, William R. Franklin; Her daughter April Johnson (David), Her daughter Amy Franklin (Frank); Her grandchildren Ivy, Axle, Ryan, and Tyler; Her mother Barbara Hanson; Her sister Karen Norskow (Ron); Her brother Andy Hanson (Lindy); Her many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Betty will take place Friday, January 27, 2023 at Arlington Heights Church of Christ Family Center at 2722 Rand Morgan Road @ IH37 from 6:30PM-8:00PM. Her family would like to note that this will be a come and go celebration.
