Ascencion C Garza

Ascencion Garza, age 88, passed away on September 25, 2023. Ascencion was born on January 1, 1935 to Tomas and Maria Garza.

He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile, love of family, camping, floating the river, listening to music, barbequing, fishing, carpentry, working around the house, working on his truck and his love of watching sports.
Ascencion was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and soon to be a great-great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Maria Garza, several brothers, sisters and his grandson, Lee Hinojosa.

Ascencion is survived by his wife, Adelaida, children, Emma, Estella, Ester (Oscar), grandchildren, Priscilla (Mike), Becky (Aaron), Christina, great-grandchildren, Janice (Adam), Julia, Natalie (Jose), Kimberly (Alfred), Michael Jr., Joshua, Benjamin, Emily, great-great grandchild, Noah, brothers and sisters, Juan Oralia, Carmela, Yolanda, Pete, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
