Armando R. Flores, age 83, passed away on July 22, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Armando was born on December 3, 1933 in Montemorelos, N.L., Mexico. He came to the U.S., where he lived first in Chicago, eventually settling in Corpus Christi. He was lovingly known to his wife of 61 years as “Tito”. He was a wonderful caring man, happily married and raised four very successful boys. Armando was a hardworking master bricklayer and stone mason who provided for his family. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum after 25 years, wherein there after he enjoyed his monthly breakfast meetings with the other retirees. He stayed active at the YWCA in his retirement where he had many friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Roberto; Sisters, Irma, Laura, Adriana, and his parents Soledad and Juan.
Armando is survived by his Wife, Hortensia C. Flores; Four Sons, Armando
Flores, Jr. (wife Mary), Cesar Flores, Alan Flores (wife Angie V.) Rene Flores; 12 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren, and his siblings Carlos Flores, Gilberto Flores, Enedelia Bartholome, Julieta Cantu Flores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on July 28, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home, 2409 Baldwin Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St., Corpus Christi,Texas 78416.
Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park, 4357 Ocean Dr., Corpus Christi, Texas 78412.
