Amelia Saldivar Rodriguez, age 74, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Amelia was born to Margarita and Guadalupe Saldivar. She graduated from San Benito High School in 1962. She went to Durham’s Business College and received her degree in Business. She attended the University of Texas in Austin part time and completed her Bachelor’s degree from Corpus Christi State University. Amelia was employed and retired from the Texas Employment Commission. She enjoyed participating in bowling, baking, reading and spending time with her family. She was a devout Christian and attended church at Church Unlimited. Amelia was very devoted to her family and friends, always remembered their birthdays, had a wonderful sense of humor, and her love for George Strait. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was looking forward to being a great grandmother. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents and sisters.
Amelia is survived by her daughter, Marisol Garza (Kristopher); son, Jaime Rodriguez; granddaughters, Bryana Alvarez (Daniel), Denise Rodriguez; a great grandchild on the way and father to her children, Jose Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Zeke Reyes Jr., Eliseo Reyes, Abel Torrez, Samuel Reyes, Isreal E. Gutierrez Jr. and Major Stewart.
