Alicia V. Guerra

Alicia V. Guerra, age 77, loving mother of six and an adoring grandmother of nine, passed away in the late hours of May 16, 2022. Alicia was born March 16, 1945 in Beeville, Tx. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Padia, Sr. and the late Mr. Pedro J. Vargas, Sr. She grew up surrounded by her large family. Alicia was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. As a mother and grandmother she was generous, loving and kind. Always had a smile on her face till her last days.

Alicia V. Guerra is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Padia, Sr. and Mr. Pedro J. Vargas, Sr., sister, Guadalupe Salazar, brother, Jimmy Padia, Jr., ex-husband, Jesus Guerra, Sr., daughter, Cynthia A. Trejo and son, Fortonato Guerra, her two grandsons, Roddy Rodriguez, Jr. and John R. Alvarez, Jr.

Alicia is survived by her children, Norma J. Rodriguez, Jesus (Santa) Guerra, Jr., Joe A. Guerra, Angel M. Guerra and son-in-law, Roel Trejo, Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer, Brenda, Brother, Roland, Jesse Joe, Sebastian and Rammy, numerous great grandchildren; siblings: Gilbert (Rosa) Padia, Adelina (Jose) Mendiola, sister-in-law, Mary Padia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2022 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Jesus Guerra, Jr., Joe A. Guerra, Roel Trejo, Sr., Roel Trejo, Jr., Sebastian Guerra and Roland Rios-Trejo.

On behalf of our family, we would like to begin by thanking everyone that has sent their condolences. We have received countless phone calls, text messages, food, visits and thoughts and prayers. They have been comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of what an impact our mother and grandmother had on so many others. May God bless each and every one of you all.
