Vicente Salas Jr., age 71, passed away on July 23, 2017. Vicente was born on June 15, 1946 to Vicente Salas Sr. and Concepcion Salas. He graduated from Miller High School in 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969. Vicente was employed by the City of Corpus Christi. He enjoyed participation in watching his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys.

Vicente will always be remembered for his quiet nature, humor, service to multitudes of charities; including St. Judes Hospital, Wounded Warriors Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and many more. Vicente was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather. Vicente is preceded in death by parents Vicente Salas Sr. and Concepcion Salas, sister Juanita Alaniz, brothers Jose and Felipe Salas.

Vicente is survived by his loving caring wife of 47 years Rebecca Salas, daughter Beatrice (Roy Mauricio) Salas, Bernice Gunter, son Armando Salas, grandchildren April Mauricio, Melanie Pinon, Stephanie Mauricio, Deann Mota, and Jayceon Campbell; great-grandchildren Arianna Garza, James Garcia; sister Maria C. Salas, Maria E. Salas, Rosie Coleman, Elia (Ricardo) Servin, and brother Victor Salas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 9:30 am Friday, July 28, 2017, at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
