Pedro De La Garza, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas with his loving wife and family by his side.
Pedro was born on March 27, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Alonzo De La Garza and Abelina Garza. He was a loving father to Rebecca (Dwayne) Spann, Stephanie (Chris) Alejandro, Phil De La Garza, Cynthia (Randy) Sanchez, Joel De La Garza and Josette De La Garza. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, whom he adored and loved, including four brothers, 13 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather, carpenter and hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonza and Abelina De La Garza; Son, Peter De La Garza; Sister, Nora De La Garza; Brothers, Daniel De La Garza and Alonzo De La Garza.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, 2017 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Friday, February 24, 2017.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
